RED DOG The goal of this game, also called (Acey-Deucey, In-Between and Between the Sheets) is to guess the value of a randomly selected card that falls between the value of two other cards. The value of the cards are as follows: 2 to 10 count at face value, jacks count as 11, queens count as 12, kings count as 13, and aces count as 14. Red Dog is extremely simple and was probably played originaly by idle cowboys and miners back in the 1800s. In today's casinos, Red Dog is played on a table similar to a blackjack table. Players make a bet and then the dealer places two cards on the table face-up. Everyone in the game is betting on the same hand. Depending on the total of the two cards on the table, players have the option of making a "raise" wager. A third card may or may not be drawn. TYPES OF HANDS IN RED DOG Pair hand is when the two cards dealt by the dealer face-up are of the same value (for example, two 3's). The dealer will then proceed to draw a third card face-up. if the card is equal to the other two (in our situation another 3 is drawn) then every player wins with an 11 to 1 payoff. If the third card drawn is not the same as the other two, then the hand is a tie or push (no one wins). WIN some serious cash at

is when the two cards drawn are in sequence (say a 10 and a jack).

Non-consecutive hands
are when the two cards are neither
When the dealer announces a spread, players may make another bet (raise wager) up to the amount of the original wager prior to the dealing of the third card. Players win if the value of the third card is between the value of the initial two cards dealt face-up. If, however, the third card drawn is equal to one of the initial cards, the bet is lost.
